My version of 7 segment decoder

Post by Alexander »

The begining is here.
This decoder has 2 buses: one for the 4-bit number, and the other 3-bit bus for "blank", "minus" and the point. The point has no influence, but the blank symbol has a greater priority on "minus". I hope this circuit will be helpful for anyone.
The circuit is large enough and don't fits in the page. But I leaved it this way because it is more clear to see the connections and to understand what is going on. You just need to scale or select all and move to see all the scheme. There was another opportunity to split the logic on 2 smaller chips, but the chips that I've got had no sense individually. I think, that making a separate chip senses when it is usable alone.
My suggestion for the program is to add a possibility to edit a big circuits(enlarge page).

In previous version, if you didn't want to plug all the data bits, you had to plug zeros instead. in this fixed version you can leave them floating.
